I always f*ck up royally in one game I play. Now, I've played morrowind since it came out but this by far the most idotic thing i did.

I was doing the "rescue imperial murderer from vivec" quest, the one where Frald wants you to bring him back to Ebonhart for a fair trial. Well, on my way of travelling to ebonhart, i talked to an ordinator, who attacked me becuase i was 'smuggling' him out. SO i killed him, and continued along. Now every guard started attacking me. I get the guy to ebonhart safe and sound, but now the ordinators still attack me, and they won't stop. I totally forgot about this, and I can't really load because it was such a looooong time ago, way back when i was on like lvl 9, now i'm 19 doing the Hortator quest. I really won't die if i can't fix this, mainly because I can whoop their @$$ any day, its just the hassle of going into every friggin canton and having 3-4 dark elves in scary masks trying to rape you.
And I don't know if this will affect future quests.

If anyone can solve this dilemma, could you plz tell me. THx in advance.

Are you a member of the Thieves guild ? You probably have a price on your head now, and some guys in the Thieves guild can have it removed for a small fee. After taking care of that, the attacks should stop.

I ticked off the Vivec ordinators by wearing thier armour, which I'd aquired fair and square, but it really didn't harm my game any. The average person doesn't seem to care, and oddly enough, neither do some of the ordinators: If memory serves, there are at least a couple in the temple cantons that never attack me, and neither do specific ones in the various shops.

So long as you can beat 'em easily, I wouldn't sweat it. Very little of the action re: hortator takes place in Vivec. Besides which, I usually use a levitate item to fly over the city, any way: faster and easier.

AND the ordinator's gear is worth a TON. Things like their ebony maces that are too expensive to sell, I just sold to enchanters when their pockets were full of my money!

If you are already at that part of the game, I'd go ahead and finish at least the main quest.

Oh, and since Morrowind has infinet save spots, its a really good idea to do a hard save [as opposed to quick] every time you level...

No, its not a bounty problem, its strictly a bug error/my stupidity. Remember, the quest is for you to rescue the imperial fugitive who is hiding from the ordinators because they wish to trial him under Dunmer law.

I know the armor is worth a ton, but when you have 502K, it is very hard to lose it all, i don't care what anyone says. It's just annoying and I feel kind of a moral conflict because I play this game as so strictly just to make it hard. Here is how I play.

1. I never steal, refuse to.
2. Never aid slavers, do quest involving slaves, then free them.
3. Refuse to aid any telvanni.
4. Favor Imperial Legion.
5. Refuse to kill guards.
6. Any thieves guild/Morag Tong quest is out of the question.
7. Purge all rouge telvanni and daedric ruins.
8. In order to wear any daedric piece of armor, I "purify" it, meaning I constant effect that piece of armor (golden saint soul) and name it purified with some bonuses.

Now you see why i feel like i've 'descrated' the system. I'm killing guards, and I'm like a goody goody crusader. I know I'm a bit over hardcore, but its how I play for this game.

I'm thinking that perhaps there could be an 'invisible' bounty on my head where the ordinators react only to it. I will try clearing my name even though i have no bounty, just for the hell of it too see if it works.

P.S.
have any of you wondered why your reputation doesn't go up with a high bounty. Seriously. Even though reputation is a positive factor, it should still go up. A petty robberer might be unknown, but a mass murderer or a serial thief, he's gotta be the talk of the island. And the more times you are seen, the more well known you become. Its just a thought.

Sorry for the long post.

Wow, a regular goodly hero. It's a lot easier if you play it my way. First of all, you came of a prisonership, everyone looks down on you, treats you like shit. In the beginning, when you're not leveled up there's not much you can do about it, but later, when i got me some armour and a decent sword, i'll kill anyone who has the balls to call me "annoying outlander". Seeing the character is kind of a "hired sword", or perhaps some kind of bountyhunter, i see no reason to act friendly towards everyone. You could always bribe people into liking you, but sometimes letting off steam by dropping a few unfriendly people is satisfying too.

I play some games in full ethical mode: my guy in Daggerfall was practically a saint.

My Morrowind guy is more... conflicted? pragmatic?

Let's just say he has no compulsions against defending himself when ordinators or others go all hostile for no good reason.

Oh yeah, I never bribe also.

Playing how i play is a bitch in the beginning, especially since I can't steal any of the stuff in the census and excsise office.

In Daggerfall, I had no morals. then again, i was like 8 when i played it. I didn't understand the plot. I only did specific quests, such as guard the item. I killed people all the time, in Dak'tosh or whatever it was called.

But on another note... I Just beat Morrowind... Yay for me!!!!!

Now its time for Solstheim, then Tribunal. At least there are no Ordinators in the snowy forests of the Nordic Island...

Well, got my first taste. lets see, done a bunch of storyline quests, not much exploring. In skaal village right now, got the seven stone quest thingy. There are lots of creeps, too many. There are wolves to my left, bears to my right, spriggians up my ass, weird tuskan raiders and pig lizards all at once. How I wish now my mana was really high, and my destruction 100, and a nuke spell ready.
