I may be missing where this is commented on, so forgive me if it is
I know once you get your stat to 100, it unlocks the expert skill associated. Like getting Dex to 100 to unlock Reflextion. Anyway, I am not very far in the game, and have a few more levels before I hit 100 in anything. My question is, once the stat hits 100, can you keep increasing it? If so, is it worth continuing to increase it? Also, is it worth putting all available points into 2 stats per character to get them to 100 asap, before putting points in other needed stats? Example: So far I have put all points into Speed and Dex for my Samurai to get them to 100. He is in great need of points in Strength, but do I just get Speed and Dex to 100 first, then worry about Strength, or develop 3 or more stats simultaneously?

There is much debate about all that, somewhere here.....
No, you can't increase your Attributes above 100 at level, but you can add up to 20 more points in each one with items like Ankh of Speed, etc. As for the maxxing ASAP, i used to put 3 points into one of Int (casters) Str (tanks) or Dex (for Reflextion). But i've started spreading my points out a little more, because if, for example, Str, Dex and Vit are all at 80 my Fighter hits more often, does more damage, and can fight longer without resting. Once they have that, then i usually go for the Powerstrike and start adding Spd and some Sen. My casters still get Powercast ASAP, though, because it trains up really well in conjunction with practising. Hybrids usually go the way tanks do, esp now that all my parties are 3 or smaller. (same with Gads and Bards, except Bards get more Spd) |

For me it depends on the class. For Lord's, Samurai's, Monks and Ninja's I usually spread my points between Strength, Dex and speed. Fighters I concentrate on Strength and Dex, with the exception of Lizard fighters. Lizard fighters I work strength and vitality since they can max those attributes out by the 4th or 5th level.
The reason I spread my points out in the Lord, Samurai, Monk and ninja is because it will do little good to have them get more swings per attack if they can't hit the broad side of barn lol There's a lot of debate on this subject and I guess it really comes down to one's own personal choice and play style. |
