After talking to Marten I became insane. I have the helm of serenity on, the Astral dominae, two rings with 10 per cent mental, I used restoration on my caracters (lots of it) and I rested for over 25 times, but yet they don't recuperate. Is this a bug or is it the way the game is supposted to play?

You need to have the helm of serenity.

If you dont have it go back to an earlier save, go get it ( its in trynton u need the idol from martens bluff castle) have the character with the helm of serenity hold the thing then the insanity is temporary.

I think where youre at now with your characters is permanent but if you really want to you can get teh helm of serenity while insane and see. But its a lot of random encounters between where you are now and there all fighting insane.....

What you should do is, before ending the conversation with Marten, open inventory and put the dominus in the inventory of the person wearing the helm. That will prevent insanity from affecting anyone (the game DOES NOT give the dingus to the person wearing the helm; you have to do that yourself).

I recall from other messages here that insanity is temporary, though it may last awhile. Giving the dominus to the helm-wearer and, I think, resting a few times clears it up.

Have you tried killing the character and ressurecting him? When he comes back to life, he may have shrugged off the insanity. Of course, I'm just guessing...
