OK, so how exactly does all this tie in? What exactly does Tribunal add/do?

As far as I could see, It doesn't 'tie in' with the morrowind main story. It's a separate story/quest series & you can start it anytime you wish.
I just began it yesterday & don't have any relevant info yet, but it seems it will be a more high-paced adventure than Morrowind original story was - first impressions only

So you can bring your leveled up character into this expansion ? There better be some tough opponents then, cause i'm already untouchable halfway the original story.

Oh, it's difficult alright: most of the characters are leveled on you, that means most of the Dark Brotherhood assassins I have met area round 40th / 50th level... which means that if they gang on my 45th level character. I'm gonna use a lot of potions and scrolls...
Even simple, humble peasants are that strong. I have tried a high ordinator, once, and he almost won...

As to the expansion, the story is quite unrelated, or so it seems at the beginning. It is about the emperor, Almalexia and Sotha Sil, whom were only far rumors on Vvardenfell. Yet there are many "quotes" here and there... just for example you get to meet the former queen Barenziah and her biographer... remember th Real Barenziah series books?

Tribunal is another Master file added to Morrowind. You don't "bring" your character into expansion. You can travel between Morrowind and mainland at wish. Like - do a couple of quests in Tribunal , travel back to Morrowind and finish a couple of other quests, have a beer at Eleven nation cornerclub & then head back to mainland and continue with tribunal quests

If they have incorporated a MOD into tribunal already, what effect will this have if you still have the mod running on installation? Anyone know.

I have about 40 Mods running from quests to hats, and just want to know of the effect if they have it added to tribunal anyway.

As for new swords, there are a wide range of new adamantium weapons. Spears, two handed swords, mace, and a short sword. Also there's an orc who can take the raw materials you find and make armor or weapons out of them. I can't remember if he charges you for this service as I never tried it. Also there is one really 'nice' sword that comes with the add-on. Do the main quests and you'll find out what it is. As for tougher opponents...I'd say if you're level 70+ this shouldn't pose too much of a threat, but be wary. If 50-...you're in for a rough trip.
