Hey everyone. I really miss being able to play Wizardry 8. My problem is one that I know has been discussed over and over though I'm not sure if a solution was ever found. The fabled sluggish framerate after accessing the automap....

Is there a fix available or am I forever screwed? Is it possible the former Sir-Tech could open source the code to allow someone to fix it?

SirW,

How much RAM do you have in your PC? Wiz8 is memory hungry and more might help. BestBuy, CircuitCity, etc., etc. are all selling PC133 for next to nothing these days. If you're running PC133 or PC100, it's a consideration.

Good luck,
tuckyboy

It's definitely not RAM. Sorry - no ideas here.

Best of luck.
