More than there are stars in the sky. (read "a lot")
As to the "strange" one. I don't know. Where did you hear about it? Is it part of a quest?

cormack, great question about the shipwrecks!
In my first and only time through this game I only explored 3 or so remains of ships- "wrecks" if you mind. 2 quest runs and none of them to this one in particular. I am a landlubber and pretty much like to stay on solid ground. Besides whatever was chewing on me under the water was erie. Got out as quick as I could. I do know someone who liked to pearl dive alot in his game mybe he stumbled across it. (fooling around more like it!) Well, good luck and I will shoot an e-mail off to the crazy Battlemage and see what he says. Last I heard he was into levitating ![]() Lox, I haven't read anything about how many there are either. Probably some good treasure in them.- anyone? Atrayu (Anyone getting Sea Dogs 2 btw?)

Welcome to Ironworks !
10 or so. The best treasure is, in one of them, there's a Daedric Wakizashi. [ 09-18-2002, 11:19 PM: Message edited by: True_Moose ]

glad its not just me thinks water is eerie, its because a) your slowly drowning the minute you go in and b) cos things can attack you from all angles which you dont get on land, dont like going in water much even though nothing down there is strong enough to dent my armour its still spooky, though i do think to make it even worse they could have added a giant kraken to swim in the deep sea and scare the living poo out of you

Actually, there seem to be around 15 to 20 shipwrecks. The strange shipwreck is on the northeast coast of Sadrith Mora.

Wow! thanks everyone for the welcome and timely answers! One of my friends son's has an x-box and when I was over at his house I couldn't resist watching him for awhile. He was a very experienced player and showed me alot of moves and the whole thing really sparked my intrest- so I bought the pc version. How was I to know what I was getting into!! The strange ShipWreck was somehow brought up in our conversation and thats why I asked Lox.
This is my first game since "shivers". I never finished that one but it was a bit dull and I lost my intrest. It appears things have changed alot since that game and so has my attitude thinking computer games are easy and dull! Just by loading it up made me realize how much information is packed onto disc's for this game. This gaming forum seems like a great place compared to some I found on my search engine and from what I read you guys really try to help people in all the aspects encountered to make it work. Thanks again and I will be sure and check in on my lunch hour here and there with more questions - I mean- updates on my travels. I will be reading and joining in when possible and looking forward to completing this one.

I hate being underwater as well, so damn eerie. And those tentacly-half-human thingies scare the shit out of me. I prefer staying on land and out of dungeons. I can't wait for the MW expansion, should have a lot more nasty critters. I'll have fun fighting them outside, I hope. I hate doing battles in dungeons. Eerie chanting, eerie fog.... Turn a corner.... Aaaaaaaaaargh! Huge Daedra/Bone Lord/Evil Thing charging at you!

I found the water scary at first but then I created my "Flippers" and all was good. The "Flippers" are exquisite shoes enchanted with permanent water breathing and a little swift swim. Without the threat of drowning diving in the water is a lot less scary.

yeah good plan i need to create something like that and explore all the oceans
also these days computer games are less challenging than they used to be, unless multiplayer games, old spectrum games used to be really hard to complete (try head over heels or arkanoid) real classics, but the advantage of games these days is they are so big, and you dont get bored of exploring them, plus just seeing what you can find that noone else has found before is a big draw as well as almost limitless options to make you completely unique. But the last game i found that i couldnt complete was shadow of the horned rat everything since has been easy, and will continue being easy i think to attract more people, most games now you can die and still complete it, never used to be like that, but i prefer it means they are far less frustrating, morrowind i have found very easy to play but alot of fun doing it and although its not been challenging since i got past level 5 its still keeping me interested so much to see and do |
