All,
I just wanted to share how much better I think Wiz 8 is the second time through. I played a group of characters up to levels 18,19,20 (en route to the Rift) when I decided to start over. I made a lot of mistakes last time, like planning to class change everyone in the low teen levels, and then realizing how much of a mistake that was. I also had a Bard and Gadgeteer last game, basically too much of the same. This time through I have a Liz Fighter, Faerie Ninja, Faerie Bishop, Hobbit Gadgeteer, Mook Ranger, and Dwarf Lord. So far, so good. |

Well Bards and Gadgeteers have similar functions, but they aren't the same. Gadgeteer items are more offensive-oriented whereas Bard instruments are more defensive-oriented.

The replayability of Wiz 8 is great. I've played through a number of times, and in between new games I find myself coming back to it.
Now I'm playing randomly generated parties with some online friends, and what a kick! You haven't lived till you've seen a berserk Faerie Fighter. ![]() |

I took a break for a while after fininshing the first time to play Morrowind and Warcraft 3. Now I am back playing a second party. This time I decided to play on expert with a 4 person party. I have a Human Lord, Mook Ranger, Hobbit Gadgeteer, and Elf Bishop. I am only in the Monastary and it has been touch and go but I am surviving. I am feeling the lack of armor since the first three are protecting my bishop but I figure eventually it will be a rocking party. I do plan on picking up RFS-81 to help support the front line but until then it is going to be my starting 4 characters. I think it is going to be even more fun than the first go through.
