Hi. I've never played any of the Wizardry series before, but some of you may know me from the W&W board. I just bought Ultimate Wizardry Archives, and I can't get it to play. Regardless of what options I choose in the DOS boxes, all I see is more DOS boxes. If I select training, nothing happens. If I select Edge of Town, I can exit the game, but none of the other options work. I can't get into the Adventurer's Inn at all. I can create and store characters, but nothing else seems to work. What am I doing wrong?? Or is this game just a series of DOS boxes with no pictures??
Thanks. |

Thanks anyway, but I figured it out. PC had a problem, took it in to get it fixed, reinstalled game, and now all is ok.
As rent for the space I used on the board, I'd like to offer a hint to anyone who is as new at this as I am: Copy dungeon maps from your favorite Wiz site. White-out all hints and locations, then enlarge on a copier. Now you can use the enlargement and a coin or figurine to show your location in the maze. I'm very visually oriented, so this method is really keeping me oriented, without giving away all of the surprises. Thanks for your time. |
