arg I'm kinda new to the game so I think that's why I can't figure this out. see I have a little problem, whenever I get into a fight with some one or some thing my character falls over. just like that after one hit he falls down. I'm not talking dead or passed out from lack of fatigue(sp) but down to his knees and it takes awhile for him to get up. then one hit and he'll be back down again. any one know why?

thx

either you are too weak, or you don't wear any shield.

always happen to me when I wear spear but never happen to me when I wear long sword plus a shield.

train some more. I had the same condition once ( very annoying )but immediately replay a new game.

btw, if your axe skill is larger you will start seeing the enemy going down always instead.

A higher Agility will keep you on your feet. Strength only determines how hard you can hit back.

agility is what determines how well you dodge and are able to hit targets. that should be one of your main attributes to gain.

Isn't constitution the factor of receiving blows? I'm lvl 5 now and I still get beaten down by any mofo with either a big axe or warhammer :'(

The manual, which I read while I was downloading new sound and video drivers(If you have a Dell and Santa Cruz audio card, don't download a new driver from Dell...TRUST ME!!), states: "You can be knocked down during combat as the result of a powerful blow from an opponent. A knockdown is fairly short and can happen at any time, regardless of your Health or Fatigue levels. You cannot block or attack when you have been knocked down. Hitting someone who is knocked down does more damage and they are easier to hit. **High Agility keeps you from being knocked down**"

There you have it, Agility will set you free. I've also found that having 90 Speed and getting to hit first seems to keep me a tad safer as well...if they can't hit you, you can't be knocked down
