Forgive me for not knowing names..but there's this price fixing cat who has a price list i want..I had it, cuase i delivered it to him once..it's locked in a chest...
I'm not a thief, but I thought if I made myself invisible with a potion I could cast an open spell on the door (there's three guys in the room) and go in and get it.....but I get caught even though I'm invisible..is my logic flawed in how to do this?

they prolly have "detect magicka" running. which would reveal you.
you may end up just having to fight them.

Whenever I cast any spell while invisible it seems to turn my invisibility off.

I think invisiblity only allows you to move about invisibly. When I was playing a theif I found that whenever I pressed the space bar to open a door or tried to lock pick something, I`d be revealed. Try a Chameleon potion.

Actions like talking, opening doors, pick pocketing, picking locks and casting spells will cancel the invisibility spell.

Does Chamelon have to be 100% to be of value or does lower nubmers work ok?

The higher the percentage the less likely you`ll be spotted I`d think.

I have a lame little ring that gives me a random 1-10% chameleon, which is actually helpful when i'm in sneak mode. More is better, but even a little makes a difference. I plan on making an enchanted item, prolly a ring, with a much higher chameleon value, eventually.
