Has anyone played this great new superhero CRPG title yet? Really love it (though I would have preferred that it allowed you to play your own characters earlier in the game). The whole superhero comic ambience is just wonderful.

Have to say that Shadow is one of the toughest supervillains in the game. You just have to try several times to defeat her. Any luck, anyone?

I haven't played it yet, but I've read heaps of great reviews. I'm not really into the comic book style, but I will check it out!

I actually downloaded the demo last night and played it for a little while after hearing some fanatic reviews from friends. It seems to be a very unique and interesting game to be sure and I've always been a bit of a comic book fan, but I'm still not quite sure what the format of the game is. Apparently being able to create your own custom super hero is a big deal, but it's not very clear if the game provides custom skins/costumes or if you have to download pregenerated ones. Also it wasn't obvious if you can use this custom character in the single player game or just in multiplayer only. I might have to give Freedom Force a try if I can get some clarification

The game does provide a few skins/costumes, but very few. You must download them if you want more skins -- though fortunately most of the skin files are very small and download real quickly. There are now hundreds of skins on the web. In fact there's a program for making your own skins, too!

You can use your custom character in single player, though only after the 'main' heroes of the game have completed their first few missions and built up enough prestige points to hire your hero. So don't make your custom hero too powerful -- he'll be very costly to hire, meaning you'll have to keep playing with the main heroes until they've enough prestige points to hire your hero! 4,500 prestige points should be about right for your custom hero.

Enjoy!
