I have a problem. Some NPCs disappear when I drop them. I currently have Jaheira, Khalid, Garrick, Xan and Minsc, and when I get Dynaheir, if I drop either Xan or Garrick, he disappears. Is there a way to get either back later ? If it is the case, where ?

And, is there anything else to do with Minsc and Dynaheir after she is rescued ?

Thanks !

They stay where you leave them. Unfortunately if you leave them in the wilderness they disappear, attacked by wild beasts I guess. If you drop them in the towns then they stay and you can pick them up again.

There is nothing more to do with Minsc and Dynaheir - apart from keep them in your party.

Thanks Staralfur !

I am still not sure if Xan or Garrick will stay available, since they protest a lot when I drop either. They say rather definitive sentences. As I am rather far in the game, and they are both level 6, I really don't want to lose either. I will give a try to drop them in Beregost.

Is there a problem if Minsc is not in the party when I rescue Dynaheir ?

No no probs, providing you haven't already had minsc and promised you'd help him get dynaheir

Hey, Moiraine, didn't know you were playing BGI. That explains why I haven't seen much of you in BGII. enjoy!

Moiraine, the problem you are encountering is that your reputation is too high!! As Garrick and Xan are both Neutral, they will not like a rep over 18 and therefore if you put them out of the party at this moment, you will not get them back! I have left numerous NPC's in wilderness areas and have always been able to pick em up again so that shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps

Thank you, Sir Tainly, Melusine ! I should be more greedy when I help people and ask for a reward, I guess. Now how do I lose reputation points without killing someone ?

BK, yes, I got back to BG I after finishing BG II. I had BG I but never finished it before, because I had an old computer at the time (P 133), and I had problems, the game kept throwing me away when I got into some areas, so I was unable to go on. That's partly why I spend less time on the Board these days. But I'm still here !
