Romance time wasting

Ok...how long does it actually take for the romances to finish?

I got Aerie straight away (as soon as I left Irenicus's dungeon) and I am now at the end of the game...278 days and still no sex! poor Dregan must be sexually starved! any way to 'speed up the relationship' (anyone with the reply of 'quiet music, candlelight dinner or viagra will be ignored)

I'm not too sure about what's supposed to happen, but it all depends on what you told her in those conversations, if I'm not mistaking.
I was lying in the sewers (getting a rest, to refreshen my magic), and then she got all over me.. I mean: the sewers, for god's sake! That's really not romantic at all! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

If you want just some sex then go get a harlot from Bridge District or Docks District. The "target" of the romance is not to sleep with someone. Hitting any bed you come across will actually cancel most of the romances in the game. With the goal like this, it's probably pretty sure that you already screwed your romance up somewhere. I.e. Ust Natha and Phaere. So I guess that your lil' 'aroused-starving-desperate' dwarf or whatever you are playing will never get 'it' after all from Aerie. Death from celibacy.

Well, a spoiler then as well: hitting the bed with Aerie will actually end the romance and not in your favour. Well, at the same time she wont accuse you about anything and stay in the party, but the romance as such ends with the flag 3, which means 'Could not keep his pants on'.

Say what? Sleeping with Aerie will spoil your relationship with her??

Not that I remember! She got pregnant of my char, and that's pretty positive, if I'm correct. You also have to bear in mind, that the romances continue in ToB.

And another thing, I didn't build up my character to a level 28 kensai, then dual class him and build him up to a level 29 mage for someone to call him a DWARF!.....god....'sob'...

There is a way to sleep with the little elflet and still have her in the party. It isn't a cheat, it's just not the most obvious response to a dialog choice.

Yes technically the romance ends with her when you sleep with her. There was no ToB when SoA was released. If you slept with her, did you miss the obvious dialogue after that? Where she told that while she does care deeply about you, she thinks that you and she hurried things too much and she has to leave, to experience the world on her own and such stuff? Basically - read between the lines - it means "Thanks for all the fish and goodbye".

When ToB was added however, the romance was continued. It was pretty clear to makers of ToB that many, if not most, can't keep their pants secured to their waist and will probably drop them lower then their knees are, so the romance was continues with "you know what" stuff. So, basically, withouot the ToB the romance is over, as simple as that. You were too impatient and ruined, so to say, the romance because of that. With ToB, you are given a second chance.
