Simply, What sort of experiance level do you have to be to do the firkraag dungeon and other windspear hills quests? I am a sorceror, I also have Minsc, Keldorn and Nalia. Also I have a Cleric and thief who I created using multiplayer.

I've done it at level 11, though it was touch and go when the vampires showed up. Others will tell you "Oh, I did it at level 9, piece of cake," but ask them if they had a walkthrough and/or plenty of hints handy, first.

And not to forget - having the *Daystar* sword makes even groups of vampires a piece of cake without nearly any level considerations.

I would say level 12 or 13. This dungeon is pretty tough, and the fight with Firkraag is really quite hard. I would do the Umar Hills before this one, and many of the quests in Athkatla first, before travelling to the Windspear Hills.

quote: I also have to agree. I did it around lvl 11-12. I do have to tell ya that from certain fights/battles in the game, I've come to base difficulty around the level of my casters. Without them, forget it if you are low level. ( take into note that I'm always approaching the tough fights from a non-cheesy prespective. Anything that makes it TOO easy and seems to be exploitive, I ain't condoning.) The dungeon itself provides for some nice loot and can be tough if you don't have a good plan( good enough loot to make me hit the shops to sell and return for more). Sometimes you will get crap trash npcs attacking you. Certain AOE spells just scream out to be used here. Other times, you can't used stuff like cloudkill wands/spells or fireball. It calls for a different approach. If you have fought enough to have a few different tactics in your prior battles, then you will do fine here - not saying you can kill the dragon easy without cheesing- again, dragons fall easy to anything like traps or mass cloudkills and makes it doable at any level but not recommended. I had Minsc, Jaheira, Anomen, Aerie, Korgan, and me...and at lvl 11 it proved to be a decent enough fight. Again with those npcs, I was allowed to use different tactics within the dungeon. The dragon took me a few reloads and a bit of luck. I still go back and fight him from my saved games there and still get whipped every now and then. If you have read anything about cheesing him, it's your call if you want to follow with it. Without two methods, it's very tough but doable- well 3 methods now that I'm thinking of it. I'm looking at your party makeup and it should be okay for you to go at level 10-11. You have the decent melee guys as well as offensive casting to do it. Plus I'm sure your cleric has a good enough wisdom to see some nice spells. They rock in ALL situations. With certain protections and a good plan, it should prove a fun and challenging but not unbeatable battle. LOL, drats you have Keldorn...I still haven't found that bugger yet. Hope to hear your story when you defeat em. I posted mine a few days ago G'luck.

A R N I N G S P O I L E R S Start the cult of the eyeless quest by talking to the people at the temple of helm (in the temple district...duh!) and they will tell you to meet Keldorn in the sewers. He will offer to fight the cult with you. |

Hey, I just started this area. I was wondering...apparently, I'm in trouble with the law for what happened when I entered the area. Even though what's his name went to straighten things out with the authorites, do I need to complete this area before leaving in order to avoid being hassled by the Knights of Whatever or am I free to roam around and complete other quests and come back to this one? I don't want them foreclosing on my Hold.

Spoiler
* * * * * * * * * If you follow him to his place and then he will go talk to the Radiant heart and you will stay in his place for a night. His son/daughter gets kidnapped and he wants you to help. After this point you are OK because he is back from talking to him. If you haven't gone to his house yet then you will be attacked in town.
