im wondering i was reading something and it said not to kill filragh(however you spell it) if your a paladin. to wait because he is part of your quest or something. so which is better the holy avenger or the casoyer and which one is obtained by doing the stronghold quest im a little confused thanks.

You get the holy avenger fron the big red guy. You can kill him before you get the quest, but I think you don't get any xp then.

The Holy Avenger IS Carsomyr, Firkraag holds it, I don't know of any way to obtain it except by killing Firkraag, never heard anything about paladins not killing him either.....

Thanlan,
if a paladin kills Firkraag as part of the final stronghold quest it's worth 35,000 xp (additional to the 64,000 xp awarded for whacking the big red sod) If you lay the smack down earlier in the game you'll get the basic 64,000 xp. Depends if you want/need the extra xp or want to get your hands on 'Da Blade' a bit earlier  Kez |
