I searched a load of faqs on the web and I can't find the information on what innate abilities your character starts out with in BG2 depending on alignment. I know I could create a game with each alignment, but I just moved and I won't be getting the box with BG2 for at least another week (though I still have BG1 thank god

I think it a random selection, because I've had many of the same classes with diff innate abilities.

I *think* but can't be sure that:
Lawful Good chars get all 6 special abilities as "blue" ones (either cure light wounds, slow poision or call upon holy might) Neutral good get the same as L. good. Chaotic good get 5 blue 1 red (either larnochs minor drain, horror or vamparic touch) L. Neutral get 4 blue 2 red T. neutral get 3 blue 3 red C. Neutral get 2 blue 4 red L. Evil get 1 blue 5 red N. Evil get 6 red C. Evil get 6 red I think this is roughly it, though this is only roughly how the specil abilities pan out. ------------------ ![]() |

the funny thing is that you don't get horror in BG1, you get chill touch instead. Come to think of it, their method for selecting the innate abilities is kinda skewed towards the fighter end. Granted, cure light and slow poison is useful all around (as is larloch's for the evil chars), but Chill touch, Vamp touch, and Draw Upon holy might is only useful for the fighters. Horror was a nice switch, though the only thing I don't like about it is (when it works), you have to hunt down the baddies because they scatter. And as for draw upon holy might, being the son of the god of murder, that seems a little backwards.
