if i use the EXP cap remover, what *exactly* does that do?

so like, right now my main character is a level 12-13 sorcerer. according ot the book the highest level he can get to is in the upper teen's(17?). so if i use the cap remover, even though my EXP can go above the cap point does my character still "gain levels" as in be able to learn more spells, life/lore go up? will it be just like the "lower" levels? thanks

If you get the EXPcap-remover, your character can get up to level 34 or something.
He/she will still learn spells as normal, get more HP, get better THAC0 etc.
You can also get a remover that makes you even hgher level then that.

see ya!

thanks for clearing that up, now for another question

how much easier does this make the game? i mean if the game was coded with a 17 lev character, how will having a 32 lev character change things? or is this one of those games like FFVIII where the bad guys level up to match your characters so that if you have a lev 100 character it's just as hard as if you were lev 50. so....???

Well, to say it like this; you'll have very small troubles going through SoA with a lvl 17 sorcerer.
The remover is just for 'fun', so you can get even higher levels.
But when you install ToB (if you do), the remover comes with it. So even if you dont have the remover in SoA, you'll get it in ToB, if you want or not.

see ya!

The remover is nothing but a slight editing of one of the ruleset files. All it does is remove the XP cap as the name suggests. It doesn't change the XP in saved games. In fact all you need to do is edit the XPCap.2da and you can set your own XP cap for each class individually. It should be in your override if you downloaded the "remover" *laughs*

Exxon is partialy correct about ToB, it dosent remove the cap, it just sets it to an obscene level (8 million XpP. if your soloing you will hit it, if your in a party -well, i did most quests and a fair bit of crusading (hunting monsters just for the points), and i never got to 7 million.
