That's weird. I found that the wizard stronghold is the easiest, not to mention the shortest. I found the fighter stronghold the worst. Although i did not have done some like the ranger and paladin strongholds.

i found the hardest to be clerics, i came to do it when all party wher above level 17, and had to face 9 beholders and 3 gauths when going to get the doomsday rod thing. Which was not easy to say the least as i'd forgotten to get the claok of mirrors.

I would have to admit, I'd agree with the poll results: Planar Sphere is by far the most difficult, although certainly doable at lower levels. To me it's more difficult because I keep getting LOST! LOL
I think it's probably easier for magic-users (it seems each stronghold quest is geared towards the role, which is a VERY good game design). I play a berserkr, so I got DeArnise, but that was a "doddle" to me, even with the Umbre Hulk situation and the final "boss". Ranger SH is easy, if you ignore the Shadow Dragon (of course there's MAJOR XP there), and I have not yet had occasion to try the Paladin quest, etc. Curiosity: what makes the Paladin quest so tough, since it ranks second on the "difficulty" list? ![]() |

Sazerac, the Ranger quest is not too difficult, but you have only completed 1/3 of it in your multiplay. The other 2 quests for the Stronghold are only offered to Rangers, and your rewards come after them. And what makes the Paly quests so hard? 2 words... Cleric's not hard at all, i did it twice ( a 12 cleric and a 13 druid), the key is to send fire elementals on ahead. and have anomen turning undead to blast the shadows.
The druid one was interesting but the second time the Spirit of the grove told me to sleep in the grove it never visited.. what's the deal with that? It is a far way to go all that way just to rest , and then the spirit would'nt visit. hmm |

I just wanted to say that the moondog figurine you get from the forest spirit in the ranger stronghold quest is an INCREDIBLE item!
