Although I try not to read spoliers I read in a post a few days ago someone was angry because Imoen was not with us the whole game and she was lacking levels and a lot of spells when we rescue her. There are a ton of side quests in this game. So if I only follow the main plot and quickly save Imoen THAN do the side quests, would she catch up with levels and spells?
If it sounds stupid don't bother, it probably is |

It's still doable, though. All things considered, chapter four isn't that bad, and chapter five is only difficult if you go out of your way to make it rough for yourself (say, by raiding the illithid city in the Underdark).
