i found a ank head in some abandoned house. any idea why it might be there?

I found one too. In the origional BG you could make it into armor, my first guess is there is a way to do that in this game as well.

Take it to Cromwell in the Docks in the main city. His house is marked on the map (southeast). He will make it into plate mail that is better and lighter than normal plate I belive.
