I have only used the multiplayer to get my own hand made party. I havent used it to actually connect to another computer. However, you may want to check and see if your using DHCP or if you are using a dedicated IP address. BG2 may not be able to work throught a gateway of any sort. Just a small suggestion to check out.

On the weekend I tried to run a multi-player session on a local area network.
I used the microsoft family logon protocols in the network setings as I have had the least problems with this one. I first tried to use IPX but this would result in a message saying that I was not able to connect to the sesion and when I tried to use TCP/IP my machine would lock up. I have not had any problems running any other games so far and my network runs without any problems so if any one knows how to set up a multiplayer game on a LAN, please can you help me? |
