Started new game (ya Im Addicted) going with a Gnome Gad. (never used a Gnome before) a Rawulf Bard and a Hobbit Rouge. The Gnome and the rawulf are female
for the necklaces. They are already 5th level and I have not got to the upper
part of the lower monistary!!

I've never used a Gnome either. You should be able to get a lot of levels before you hit Arnika with your three characters all on the quickest experience track.

One thing I don't really like about Bards and Gad. is that, after about level 18, they become pretty pointless. I normally change profession to something else in order to utilise any of the good equipment I have spare.

In the party I'm running at the moment my Bard will change to a Samurai to be able to use either Fang or the Ivory Blade along with the Enchanted Wakizashi and, of course, the Infinity Helm.

it's true, they can, but not Infy Helm. Which does much more for a body than Fang. But you can certainly be happy with Rejuve robes! I have often switched to heavier chars myself, from Bard, Gad, and Rogue, but the trio of them i ran stayed until the end, and they did quite well. The Gad gets very nice in higher levels, and the Rogue's backstab multiplier keeps going up, but it is so that the Bard peters out around 18. And yes, the Class is Rogue; Rouge is something you put on your cheeks to look like you're blushing.

Yeah, I know Bards can use Fang (I Was talking more about the combination of Fang/Ench Wak/Inf Helm) but, like Scatter said, I just find they're a bit pointless after about level 18 or 19. As soon as their music hits 90-95 I change to another profession.

Rogues keep getting better, I know, but I often consider changing them as well around level 20 if I've got some high quality equipment lying around that I want to use.

What high level equipment is better than backstabbing? A thieves dagger as a secondary weapon, with an average backstab multiplier of 3 or more, an a high critical chance, is better than say diamond eyes or enchanted wakazashi.

Yes, keep as a Rogue. A Rogue with Bloodlust and a Thieves Dagger is just awesome in combat and just gets better as everyone says.

I sometimes change my Bard early to Samurai whenever I have enough levels for the Arresting Aria and the Dulcimer of Healing (level 11?) and at least 95 in Music. That way I can get some magic and get my critical hits up early.

I haven't changed a Bard to a Samurai at level 18/19/20 as it doesn't give you a lot of time to get your critical strike up early. However if you have the Murasama Blade (10% critical?) or Fang (5%? critical) does that matter?

I think Fang is waisted on a bard. He's there to play instruments! And the Gadgy gets better all the time 'cos of his omni gun.

Fang isn't waisted at all; its sides are straight. It's also not wasted on anyone, really; would you rather the Bard wielded a simple Longsword? And if your Bard only plays instruments, you have to re-staminate her every 4 or 5 rounds, anyway. And the instruments stop having much effect once the mobs' resistances go over 100. That's why i also change Bards over, often at L12 (then usu to Sam), sometimes @19 (then usu to Fighter) so i can Restore myself indefinately.
