i'm having a weird weight problem, i got 4 chars, all with 95+ str, i got very few items in my inv, but i'm almost in the red, i'm not sure whats taking all this space,

my general question is, does gold, weigh? i got about 300k, now i have 3 fighters in plate, so that might be most the weight, but still, it just seems like i've held more in other games.. thanks

i don't think so, i had about 1 million gold some times, and didn't notice any effect. but a fighter with full plate armor can't carry much else i think. shields are quite heavy, and every kind of ammo. you aren't carrying the giant silver nugget, are you?
some intruments / gadgets or even hogars tusks are a bit heavy.

Everything carried or equipped is shared by all in the party. For items on a character, that character carries most of the load but not all. For the general inventory, everyone shares the load in proportion to strength.

Also, as Teddy pointed out, number of items isn't as important as how much they weigh. If you carry a lot of ammo, that can add up fast to a lot of encumbrance. Same for armor. Check the weights of individual equipped items and see if you can come up with the reason. And if you do have that silver nugget, stash it somewhere because it weighs a lot.

Gold is weightless. I think it's some kind of credit system, what with the automatic monster bounties and like that...
The Nugget, or anything else really heavy, can be carried on your cursor, weightless there, just be careful not to click onto your portrait in battle without dropping it off to the side first.

Interesting useful bug for Solos; goods in the Party inventory weigh about half as much as in the personal bag, even if there's nobody to help you carry.

If you stay with the mouse on the burden number, you get a tooltip telling how much of the weight is from personal invertory, and how much from the common sack. The weight of the items in the backpack only counts half (or something like that, and is distributed among the party, in that way that the burden % is equal for all party members. I think the common inventory is like a bag you drag behind you.

Whick3, if you give it to ferro in Rapax castle he can make some sweet armor. There are two other components you need I believe.

Just beware, this armor is very heavy too. It's weight is something around 40.0 if I remember correctly.
