I just visited Flamestrike's side and scrolled through his monsterlist. He mentioned three sorts of kubes ( Kaos Kube , Killer Kube , and Krazy Kube ) Some of them have a very low powerlevel ( 11 to 15 ) so I must fought them in more than 15 months of gaming ( I thought ) but ....
What the hell is a Kube ?????????? [ 01-26-2004, 07:47 AM: Message edited by: Loudhy ] |

Kubes are legacys from the old wizardry games, when computer graphics weren't as advanced as today. Visit the retro dungeons to meet them. You'd notice them, they look like... cubes
Cheers Philipp P.S.: For spoilers on the retro dungeon, well, look at flamestrykes site (which is really great, btw).

Thanks, Pyrates. That explains why I haven't seen them. The Retros are the dungeons I often skip ( except the Mountain Retro because of Nebdars Amulet ).

I saw them in the Northern Wilderness retro (and once I think in the Cemetary retro), but I'm sure you also have to be at a certain level to match their lev or you won't see them at all.
Edit: they are fun to fight for a reason you won't see on any list... [ 01-26-2004, 09:11 AM: Message edited by: Ziggurat ]

Hi Ziggurat,
you were right. I met 2 Killer Kubes in the mountain retro. I really don't know what the programmers wanted to "say" with this strange, beeping red things ![]() |

Oh, yah, those hall-filling jellies in EOB2...the ant level was below that, right?

It's the inert human fear from kubes!
Nethack is another favorite for Kubes (Jelly Kubes iirc). |
