weird sound bug with FIFA 2004

had this bug in the demo and thought it was from the download, but now I got it in the purchased version too:

My sound has a crackling background noise like, it's like very bad quality or when you have a radio station tuned in 1Mhz away from their actual frequency.
I tried tinkering with the EAX settings of my SB but it didn't help.
and an odd happening:
The problem stopped when I installed Max Payne 2, don't ask me why.
But when I uninstalled MP2 again (that game was a WASTE of money) the problem reappeared. Any suggestions???

Actually I have no idea, maybe you need to install DirectSound again or something.

My brother plays this game and the only thing about the sound in it that bugs me are those stupid Commentators... Argh anyone know if they can be turned of somehow...?

Well you can turn down their volume to zero in the sound setup ingame. Are they THAT faulty in English too? In the German version they are extremely incorrect. Ranting about an unnecessary yellow card when somebody is in fact being sent off, talking about fatigue 2 minutes into the game, telling that I'm lucky to have stayed in the league, when in fact I won the championship,...

I tinkered with Direct Sound and EAX, and honestly I'd rather take the bug than waste 1.5 GB of space on MP2 (though I have 160GB available

).

Sorry to hijack the thread but i have a weird bug too. I just see "through" the players. I have Geforece 2 MX-400...

I'm not sure how accurate they are, my brother plays the game (told me you can't shut them up, now I'll show him [img]smile.gif[/img] ), but one of them has a terrible scottish accent... not that I have anything against Scots... [img]smile.gif[/img] and I'm sure I heard one of them say "...and the score is 1-0 so the other team has to score a goal before the whistle if they are not going to lose the game..."
