I have some Valkeries in my lineup and some are using the Mystic spear, burning spear and dread spear. I know the dread spear is the best polearm in the game (not including the faust halberd due to being cursed).
Just to complete my collection of spears or polearms I just want to know if anyone has found the Maenad's Lance. If anyone did find it, please tell me where? P.S. I'm also looking for the Vulcan Hammer. Anybody found this? Please tell me where to get it too.

I never found Maenad's Lance yet in 15+ games. But maybe its a very rare random item in an high-level chest. According to some spoilers, the Staff of the Serpent could be in a chest, and i never found this one too.
The Vulcan Hammer is fix in the Rapax Armory. Remembered it to be great in Wiz7, but didn't look that impressive now. |

It could be the Maenad's Lance and Staff of the Serpent are carry-overs if you bring them over from Wiz 6 and 7. I think there are other items that can show up this way. I only started once from an old Wiz 7 game (hmm, I think I may still have a Bane game file on an old computer I can try next game...I'll let you know)

Vulcan Hammer is in Ferro's armory. You can pickpocket his key or give him pickled trynnie that you find in the kitchen.

I do not believe that Maenad's Lance made it into the game (like many other items). It is a defined item that can be edited in though.

i just recently got maenad's lance in a random load from the queen's chest. (indicatively, this is the first i've seen it in something like 20 plays to this point in the game). and of course i had a party of bard, rogue, and spellcasters, so no one using polearm!
