I was hooked on Civ 2 for about a year, many years ago. I loved it. So, when Civ 3 came out, I was excited of course. I finaly bought it today! I cant wait to dive in. Any thoughts on this game?

I can't believe you waited so long to buy it. Finally there is somebody else who waits till the game gets cheap before buying it. I've loved playing the game and have played 1-3. It has just gotten better and better.

Right on! Definetly, when it first came out, it was around 55-60 bucks! I got it today for 39.95! I am sure I'll love it!

yes, I have played this game before, I like it because you get to watch you tiny civilization slowly become the greatest civilization on earth. it's also fun watching your armies marching through the land/sea and crush other civilization.

It's great.. i love playing the Germans.. when you get those Panzers.. attack.. the world is yours for the taking.. Hopefully you have marines and bombers when your panzers come out.. and lot's of city and rails to the front... nothing can stop you. Keep a few warships to decimate the continents and lots of transports. And of course a sympathetic govt. The world is yours..

My brother bought it a while ago; I played it a bit. There was a lot more realism in it than Civ 2, especially warfare, territory, diplomacy and so on. I like the trading, and the resources. Only there's never enough resources! And I'd finally find an iron resource and build a colony off in woop woop where it was, and it'd run out a few turns later. Very frustrating! Which is what makes it more realistic I guess
