Is the muramasa blade in Bayjin all that good? Does anyone have stats on it? How hard is it to pop one? I'm still not happy with bloodlust, or my samurai in general and was hoping an uber-weapon might make him more useful to the party, but if it's not that good, I don't wanna waste the time. I already gave up on lightsword

Until you manage to find the Murasama (I'm looking for it myself.. spoilers anyone? [img]smile.gif[/img] you can always get the Bushido Blade in Ferro's Armory. Despite the fact that it doesn't Berserk the way Bloodlust does it is more accurate and damaging than the Bloodlust, and has made my Samurai a killing machine.

The only Muaramasa Blade I ever found was a random item in a closet in the Rapax Queen room.
There is no fixed location, so don't rely on getting this one. It is good... 4.0 weight damage 7-28 +4 to hit +5 to initiative 15% kill and ofcourse 1-handed but even without it my samurai did very well. OK, he didn't hit for 100's of HP a round like a fighter I had in another party, but it is a hybrid and he was a pretty decent spellcaster also. Personally I like Fang for my samurai... nice stats + u can get it a long time before the blade and it is fixed (SE Wildernis temple). Signed, One sick Psycho

as far as i know only the Queen's Chest holds a chance to contain the Muramasa ... found it there aprox 30% the tries .. (reloading a game just before entering the upper castle)..
for the bushido -> sometimes the rapax assassin in Marten's Bluff dropps one .. in Bayjin Shallows you can find the *light* sword ... also not tooo bad for a samurai ...

Got the Murasama Blade from the Queen's Chest on my second try, and you're right its pretty good. But its not GREAT. Slightly better than the Bushido blade, and the very high chance to Instant Kill is sweet! However, if the Samurai can equip a *Light* Sword (didn't know that) and you can get a second one from the Bucaneer Ghosts in Bayjin, you'll probably like it more. *shrugs*
And I still find my Samurai is doing more damage with bloodlust than the Murasama. Does more attacks, too.. bleh. |
