I am desperate. Once more, about the gouda

vine rope. The gouda vine rope - I cannot make it attach anywhere in the area of the
missing bridge - I have merged the vine - I have tried moving the cursor
without holding the vine to see if a hand will appear where it should attach.
All I get is the pointed cursor. I mean both posts up to chest height on
the entrance. I have tried every inch of the broken edge of the bridge, including
the ragged edges of the two boards extending over the edge. I have tried the
floor of the bridge from the edge and about 5 feet across all the way back to the
far rail of the bridge. The cursor remains a pointer. I have clicked the "use" hand
and checked every area I mentioned. Nothing. I tried it with a character, using the "use" option from the inventory. Nothing.
I have tried it by placing in a char's personal inventory, and doing the "use" with it
from outside of the main inventory. Nothing. I have been told you must stand at the very edge of the bridge opening and click in the center of the bridge. I tired a large area
of the bridge while standing on the edge. Nothing. I tried standing in the direct center of
the bridge and clicking on the edges and the posts. Nothing. Just how do you make the
vine work?

Maby trie to smoke it? he he if this dont work i dont knove what is wrong with your game! Take the "merged vine" from your invetory and put it on the darn bridge at the edge where it is colapsed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try walking out as far as you can first on the bridge, get close to where the break is. Then grab the merged vine, exit the char's inventory, and click the vine over where the gap is. You might just be standing too far away from it now?

Nothing else will matter unless you can get the hand curser to show up. I had a little trouble at first too, but when I got right up to the edge of the bridge, the hand showed up for me. Going from memory, I thought it was just in the center of the broken bridge...about the middle of your moniter screen. If that still doesn't work for you, I would just stand as close to the edge of the bridge as I could, close my eyes and walk forward. You'll probably die, but at least you won't have the gouda vine problem to worry about any more You might want to try stepping back too, maybe you're actually too close?
