What's the best sword for my samurai?
1. Sword of fire: Damage: 5-23 To hit: +2 Initiative: -2 Handed: 2handed 2. Fang Damage: 10-24 To hit: +2 Initiative: +2 Handed: 1handed Kills: 10% Strength + 10 3. Bloodlust Damage: 5-13 To hit: +6 Attack modes: BERSERK Handed: 1handed Sword: +5 4. Ivory blade Damage: 7-31 To hit: +4 Initiative: +5 Specital attacks. Knock Out 1% Armor class: +1 Here are the necessary stats for my samurai: Strength: 100 Vitality: 100 Dexterity: 91 Speed: 99 Senses: 30 Powerstrike: 69 Sword: 118 Close combat: 85 Critical strike: 86 Level: 21 Location: at the foot of Ascension Peak (I just went through the portal) From personal experience, I've noticed that the sword of fire and fang blows chunks and ivory blade and bloodlust gives me 2-3 more attacks and additional damage.. is this the general feeling among you people? Or do you have other advice? |

for the samurai, i highly recommend the murasama blade. it's got the highest KILL percentage (15%) and it always seems to me that my samurai does the best with it. heck! at one point, i had my samurai with the ligh sword (10 - 40 dmg) and he really didn't do any better with it. besides those two, i'd had my samurai with bloodlust and the ivory blade. considering that bloodlust does have less dmg, my samurai still did very well with it. some people have reported that with bloodlust, you might get an additional attack when he performs his lightning strike move.
ps: the murasama blade does something like 3 - 28 dmg and 15 percent kill. [ 04-12-2002, 09:34 AM: Message edited by: swavek ]

Damn.. forgot to say.. "these are the swords I have, which of these swords is the best one for my samurai?.. I'm moving along ascension peak with the ivory blade doing quite well.. I get in about 2-3 slices pr attack, and 2-3 attacks pr round. Each slice does about 30-40dmg.

I like fang for my samurai, because of 10% kill.
He does criticals every single round. I would suggest that you build up senses a little more. If you look what you need for all the attacks you'll see that senses are very important..especially for criticals. There is a cloak of perception, that give you +20 to senses..that would be a good start. |

It's either Muramasa Blade or Light Sword. Both have high to hit and initiative bonuses. Muramasa has the higher Kill chance but the Light Sword does more damage.
