As a veteran of playing Baldurs gate, Icewind Dale, BG2, Might and Magic 5,6,7,8 several times in most (BG series) cases. Will I like this game?. How is it different?. Does the technology (Space) aspect of it spoil the RPG feel, like what tended to happen in Might and Magic?.
I wonder why this game isn't released in Europe yet, If I buy it, I'll need to get it from Canada, strange?.

Aren't we all

I did.

How is it different?

It compares best to M&M view-wise. The character development / creation is better than the M&Ms. Not all those Fed Ex quests from M&M either (for better or for worse). Better voice acting than any other RPG.

Technology do not completely spoil the RPG feel like it did in M&M (All your characters do not end up forgetting all about Magic and Medieval weapons and only use blasters by the end game)... I for one could live without tech whatsoever.

You won't probably find it in normal stores, but some e-stores may have it. Maybe someone from the UK could help you (?) otherwise search in the forum.

If you like RPG's and the first person view like Might and Magic, then you'll like it. Go for it and good luck.

The only game that comes to mind where tech spoiled things was the first Ultima game (not akalabeth, Ultima 1), where you started with swords, maces, shields, and ended the game with blasters and vacuum suits, spaceships, etc. (I guess I'm an old fogey for knowing Ultima 1)

I was weaned on the TSR D&D games starting with the original Pool of Radiance and its 3 sequels, and so I kinda got used to that form. I liked the first 2 M&M's, but never liked the ones beyond that. I also didn't go for FPS games, even though I got spear of destiny way back when. Diablo was my first "in love with" game, and D2 followed.

Oh well, in any case, it didn't ruin Wiz8, or 6 or 7 for that matter, although wiz 6 didn't have anything till the end sequence.
