EXP cap?

before you flame me for asking a basic question i'm new here and the faq won't load for me on my crappy 56k dialup. i know how annoying it can be to get these kinds of questions 24/7. i'm a veteran over at the Morrowind forum and it can get frustrating. anyways,i'm wanting to know what the exp cap is. my fighter is 27th level and my ninja and bishop are around 24th or so. did i hit the cap or is it a glitch? i patched the game because it would crash when i got to the ascension peak load screen early on in the game. now i've got the astral dominae and the chaos molori and the helm of serenity. did i hit it? any help would be cool. The experience cap is lvl 50. But from what I have heard lvl 27 is already very high for Wizardry 8.

i'd heard 50 also...but NONE of my exp is going up on anyone!! is my game glitched up??

what game version do you have?
if you haven't patched it up, then you should bring it current. there is a wrap around problem with some of the displays, which was corrected by the 3rd patch.

anyway, by not raising, do you mean no more leveling at all? or you're not getting "in window" messages anymore? or that no one is getting exp from killing monster?

the higher you get, the longer it takes to go from one level to another. for instance, a figher going from Level 27 to Level 28 requires a total of 330,000,000 points.

you may be getting them, but they aren't showing. which could be a display problem. make sure you have "in game exp increases" and "verbose" turned on, so that you see the messages after every kill to verify that you ARE getting the experience.

Vesselle, that's absolutely not true. I think you misread the table

Level 27 fighter need 3.3e+07 (33,000,000 XP)
Level 28 fighter need 4.0e+07 (40,000,000 XP)

From level 27 to level 28, a fighter needs 7,000,000 XP not 330,000,000 XP.

well my fight dialogue says "each member gets X amount of whatever experience" but when i click on the character's profile they experience bar in blue hasn't moved ANY and more imporatantly the numeric experience numbers haven't changed at all even after i've killed like 10 ozites. i may just have to patch it again i suppose. it's annoying though because a lot of battle experience will be lost/worthless.
