Hi. I'm by no means a Wizardry veteran. I remember when Wizardry I came out for Apple computer. A friend of mine had it and I thought it was neat having never seen a game like it. I never really played a Wizardry game till Wizardry 5 came out for super nintendo. I wasn't very impressed. I then tried Wizards and Warriors and enjoyed that though I thought it was a little easy. Might and Magic was becoming my favorite role-playing series. Now that I've tried Wizardry 8, I'm very impressed! It seems a lot of care went into this game and it shows. Liking archers, I think it's great my Ranger can use a bow in close combat. It's ashame that now that I'm hooked, Sir-Tech is calling it quits. At least I can enjoy this game.

It IS a great game!
I commend the creative team for all their efforts in making such a great product.
The re-playability is a plus too...as sad as it is that this may be the last, it is good to know that it will be enjoyed over and over again before it ever feels old. I am not one who can easily jump into a second round of a game I've beaten. That just doesn't apply to the Wizardry series! Into my second game right now, I already have plans for my third.

Aye, I have found very few who have any complaints against Wiz8, enough so they don't like it.

I haven't played the other Wizardry games before but have found Wiz 8 to be fun and very replayable. I have played other games such as Baldurs Gate and Fallout but after finishing them I had no desire to play them again. They seemed kind of tedious and boring, but Wiz 8 just keeps you coming back. I think its tragic that there won't be another one.
