I have played through alot of SoA and recently got ToB but I haven't completed SoA just yet so I have decided to go solo... i'm sick of controling a whole party and it just gets too damn easy... anyway, I get bored of the mages power so i'm thinking of making a fighter (probably kensai) then getting him to clvl 13 ish (help me out here.. what would be the best lvl to dual-class a kensai???) then dual-classing to a thief... what do you think? am i in for a challenge?

Thanx!!!

Absolutely dual him at 13th level. If you are dual wielding this gives you 9/2 attacks per round instead of 7/2. Plus you get the extra drop in your thac0. As far as the challenge goes.....maybe

lol, I have a kensai and a swashbuckler as my only characters. I'm astounded by how well it works. I'm gonna whup the Twisted Rune for the heck of it soon... Or maybe I should wait for a cloak that will protect me from magic... BAH! For SISSIES!

Yeah, the pure kensai can dish out some damage, but the swashbuckler doesn't have to pull any muscles keeping up. She gets a better AC, he gets a slightly better hit and 2 more attacks per round. A pure kensai, played correctly, wouldn't be that weak. If your not going to dual class, DEFINATLY go for the awesome and horrifiying Half-Orc kensai. Oh, the 19 constiution and strength really do come in handy.

If mages use stoneskin, use a weapon that does elemental damage. It gets past. Flail of ages or one of the 2 axes is nice in SoA, in ToB, there is a plethora of weapons to do this with.

Now, if you wanted an impossible task, go for a halfling kensai. lol, THAT would not be so hot, although belts can boost strength. Elf isn't too hot either, having poor Con. Half-Orc is deadly. I'm ranting again, aren't I?
