Helm of Infinity, "bad" curse?

Tempted to get this +16 armor (150K moola) for my Valk from Ferro. Maybe it's cursed but I have a bishop. In Wiz 7 and earlier, even though you can undo curse for some objects they still continue to drain things like hit points or strength, whatever. I seem to remember Raven's Bill and Axe of Many Runes doing this in earlier Wizzes. Does this do some hideous thing if you wear it long enough? If so, is there some way of telling if it's a cureable cure or permanent damage kind of thing? I'm guessing not.

trying to remember from my old game i think is was +14AC and not cursed.

Thanks, Ridgid. Was taking a break and waited for an answer. Could have bought the thing and wasted a save slot if it was a "bad" curse. Do people know of any "bad" cursed items in this game? Like Rejuvenation Mail? Another big ticket extravagance I want to buy. I think some require a +1 regen item, which I do not have. I'll be using more cursed items if they don't drain my permanent stats. Curse, the idea!

best helm in the game, bar none, +16 or so ac, +5% all res or so, +2 hp regen, +5 stamina regen and +1 sp regen (if i remember correctly)

Best advice i can give is save and try for yourself.. there are some out there that are no good at all like Silken Gloves -1AC cursed.

Thanks, Goumandong and Ridgid. It's +14 armor and +5 for most resistances. And +2 regen HP, +5 regen stamina, etc. Most sursprising is my Felpur Samurai can wear it. Hmm, this is a bit weird. It looks like a heume, knightly armor with eyeslots, but a Sam can use it? Samurais can use this thing??? Pleases me to death! (um, or makes my day, safer thing to say). He had been stuck with a kabuto helm for ages. Enjoy!!!

Yeah, Samurais and Ranger can also wear this marvel.

The infinity Helm alone is woth class changin Pure -> Hybrid at level 18.

AC 14 and:
+2 HP Regeneration
+5 Stamina Regeneration
+5 SP Regeneration !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+5 ALL resistances

i can just see the combat messages... Xam has gainded 40 spell points...
