Ok I need Fairy Plate, well my bishop does but hey that's not the point. I know the Blonde Brigade does trips for spider silk (at least I think they do) my problem is not with silk ( have like 6 of those :/ ) its the damn Crab shells.

I have camped out near the monestary to no avail, is there anywhere else where one can pick up this elusive ingredient??

If you can't find some Venom Crabs in the sandy road near the monastery or the monastary beach (back where you crash landed) you will prolly not find 'em anywhere.

I think the beach is the best choice since it only spawns Crustacean (aka Crab) monster types.

The trouble is that the monsters adapt to your level, if your level is too high, the game will not spawn Venum Crabs but more powerfull crabs closer to the level of your party

I think it is the same problem have with silk / giant spiders.

As far as I know, the Venomcrab shells is only available in the Bayjin
area. The Venom crabs are easy to kill, but the rest off the monsters
in that area might be a "tad" to tough for a new party.

Please correct me anyone if I'm wrong.

If they didn't show up at the Monastery, they're waiting for you in Bayjin. I picked them up in both places, with a new and then mid-level party.

Why don't we arrange a trade? I'll give you a venom crab shell if you give me spider silk. Our parties can meet in the old Jail in Arnika at Midnight.

I have found venom crab shells both outside the monastery and in Bayjin. It is a little bit rarer to find them in Bayjin as your level is higher. I might have to try in the next game going to Trynton earlier and maybe finding the right spiders. I was about 11 to 13 when I hit Trynton the first time and only tended to find Vile Spiders.

Ok, I think I have confirmed that my party is just blessed.. Not only are they finding much better weapons and armor here and there than previous parties, but I've run into one group with venom crabs and one group with giant spiders and both dropped their various elusive pieces. Since I haven't gotten far enough to know I need these in game, do you need more than one of each to make things, or just a single piece per ingredient? (Actually now that I think about it, I never did ask the guy in Anrika what he needed for his custom pieces..Only remembered hearing that his brother [I believe] makes em)

I found a couple of those right at the crashsite, where the game starts. One in the pool, another on the shore. It helps checking your radar if you don't want to miss stuff.

Just a single piece per ingredient (meaning you will only need one venom crab shell, etc.).

And yes, Tough Guy, hang onto those. Generally speaking you'll probably want to hoard anything strange and/or unusual that you find on your travels; at least until you find out what they are for.
