Nessie got wacked! (spoiley)

Hello all!
so i'm the furthest i've ever been so far.... just beat nessie last night, about 10 times. I'd saved right before entering her area, because i'd heard davy jones locker is random... First time i get to nessie my ninja KO's her in 2nd round

hooray for nunchuks! so i kill her, and checking the locker i get Excaliber!... well... no one in my party can use. so i try a few more times and never get anything else good... so i settled on Excaliber... so this brings up my question.. i've got Vi as an NPC... what NPC would be good to give excaliber to? My party right now is Sam, Nin, Mon, Bard/Gadg,Bish, Alch. and Vi. all about lvl 13. also.. where the heck are the mines?... i can't seem to find them... i know i've seen them mentioned... but i can't find them anywhere... i've been to martens bluff and can only explore about half of lower portion.

What level was your party at when you took on Nessie??

Took Nessie down at 13 I believe.. i had Vi with me too (tricked her by teleporting directly in)

The mines can be reached by going to the NE corner of the Swamp and then heading east.

You might want to let Vi go. Characters who are coerced/tricked into entering an area where they hate to go act as though under a permanant Hex spell, with weakened attacks, slower movements, etc.

Heyas ratchild, are you running a dual *chuck* ninja? I've been itching to try that once I finish the game with current party. If so, how do you like it? How many attacks per round are you getting, etc.? The only hesitation I have is that you would probably never get to upgrade your weapons after Arnika.

Yeah... dual chucks is good... 30 cumulative chance to KO a monster is nice... but the dmg itself isn't that high because i haven't put many points into str yet. been working speed/dex. next is str and sens. for his throwing i've got the boomerang shuriken and whatever darts or stars i got lying around. picked up the boomerang shuriken from the wilderness temple with the sorceress queen. wacked them folks about a level ago. now that was an interesting fight... but the best part was when the death lords Death Wish backfired and killed 7 of his own people
