Okay, two questions for you.

First, I've seen posts where people mention dismissing one of the npc's Vi or Myles, whoever. I know they will leave on their own if you try to enter certain areas, but how do you dismiss them intentionally in a certain area so you can find them again?

I've looked for some kind of button, whatever, that says "dismiss" or anything equivalent, and can't find it. Or do I have to complete certain subquests before I can dismiss? I've finished Arnika, and am ready to head for Trynton. I do want to keep them for now, just wondering for future reference.

Second question: Anna in the Marina in Arnika talks about a stun gun she has. But she only has one. Is this something the gadgeteer can use, or is it just a tease? If it's something we can (and should) get, how do we get it?

And while I'm on that subject, another question: How do you pickpocket??? I've tried highlighting Myles, then clicking on Anna. The screen comes up for talk with the Trade, etc, buttons. One of those buttons says pickpocket. I click it, get a round wheel curser, but when I click on Anna, nothing happens. If I go into Trade, the option becomes shoplifting, and of course she doesn't have the stungun in her shop, it's her personal item.

Am I missing something obvious? How to pickpocket, and who can you pick pocket? Lol, what happens if I try to pickpocket one of the local guards?

Okay, thanks in advance to any and all who can help me here!!

1) go to that npc's inventory screen, look at the potrait, it has an "exit icon" click that.

2) no idea.

3) click on the pickpocket button and click on ur OWN party member the one who has the highest pickpoket skill.

You gotta remember, though, that when you dismiss a party member, they won't stay where you dismiss them. They will go back "home", usually where you found them. (i.e. Vi goes back to Arnika, etc.) Also, before dismissing Vi for any reason, no matter where you are, SAVE YOUR GAME! There's a bug that sometimes makes her "dismiss" to the inside of Phoonzang's statue in Arnika, and you will be unable to retrieve her. I hear there is a patch in the works for this, but I didn't save, and my party is the worse off for it now.

Thanks for the warning, Werdna.

Does the bug show up only if you dismiss her outside of Arnika, or does it also happen if she leaves on her own? Like, for example, if you go to one of the regions she refuses to go to?

I don't intend to get rid of her any time soon, but I do want to try out some of the other npc's later. But it's good to have the option of picking them back up where we originally got them.

From what I gather, she can vanish at any time she leaves your party, either by dismissal or when she leaves on her own. Granted, it doesn't happen EVERY time. Still, save before it happens. I've heard some people have had sucess in avoiding this by only dismissing her when you are in He'li's tavern, and standing next to He'li. My favorite NPC is still RS-81. Loyal like a puppy, and he calls me "master". Gotta love that.

You can pickpocket those stunners from the T'ang NPCs. There is also a powerful polearm called mindblast.
