I love this game dearly. This is the first game that got the bard persona down right. We are in a new epoc. I remember in the early days of CRPG nobody had the theif role down, now a lot do. Hopefully more games with get this guy down. Betrayal at Krondor game close but that was it.
Okay my question is my Bard, who is a female mook, can no longer improve her musical skill. It has stopped at 75. (The skill area is darkend out) She has always been a bard and has not changed professions. What is the reasoning for allowing the most critical skill for the bard, to max out at that early level. And if it is not a bug, but part of the design of the game, where can I find where the max abilities are some of my other characters. |

No class can improve a skill past 75 when leveling up. Only practice gets it past that point. This just means you can put those 3 points per level into something else..
I panicked when it first happened to me. . |

I ran into the same trouble. However, I found that as I used the instruments, my music skill kept going up. Right now he has about 80 in music. I just could not place any more music skill during level ups. I think that this is a design that there is only so much you can learn in the level up, and to keep improving that skill you must practice it.
I have not run into any other skill like that, so I don't know if this applies only to music or to other skills as well. Knarfling

Thanks guys for the prompt response. Her music skill is in the 80's and constantly improving. (Every battle just about always starts with an Angel blast). But the A. R. in me wanted to up it to 99. Oh well, I guess her bow skill is gonna be awesome.
Enought posting, time to get back to gaming. |

I've noticed its easy for my Mythology skill to increase, but, despite all my battles, its very hard for my Rangers bow skill and Lords sword skills to increase past the 75 mark. It has been a while since they hit the max... Why is this the case?
