2 canes ?

i'm starting to wonder if this is really possible. i have only heard about it, which is why i'm trying to get them both this time.

i kill the first blienmeis, and get a cane and a nose, but no ring. if i steal the ring first he goes away, seemingly for good. go upstairs get reflextion, go down, no rat. kill one, both gone, no 2 canes.

having tried it both ways several times, i am wondering if this is work to dispell a rumor that i have long believed.

has someone actually done this? what is the trick again?

i've been alerted that i need only bust down the door. this is not yet possible for my two faries. i'm working on it. i tried six full dice knock-knock spells in a row and a couple of smaller ones, to no avail. strength now at 16, 17 so perhaps a few more bouts with the demons and a trollie over to visit the sky city. i'll nic a few ahnks and try busting down the door and see if there is another cane and the ring of reflextion waiting inside. i'll let you know.
