I've updated my Dungeon Craft site. I've added 18 different small pictures all done with poser. Check them out here and let me know what you think.

Hey Manikus,

Some nice work there. I don't know what's new or not, but I like the shepherd and the knight at the bottom in particular. I don't know anything about poser, but how much control do you have over the faces? A lot of these look surprised because their eyes are pretty wide open. Just an observation.

I must finally check this out when classes let up in a few days.

Really impressive, like most of the small pictures on your page.
I'm only missing some really ugly and/or fat characters. Especially your women are all quite attractive (even the old-looking), aren't they?

I had never thought of poser characters as looking surprised...I just thought they were all awake.

As for the attractiveness- don't you know that in fantasy art, everyone is beautiful unless they are literally a monster? Just kidding. One of the big drawbacks of Poser is that everyone is so darn attractive, in fact unrealistically so. There are ways that one can use to make them look more 'normal' but they require a lot of post work to be done in paint shop pro.
That's the next area I want to go into in learning Poser, is creating realistic looking people.

However, you should not totally exclude "darn attractive" women...

I do not know poser, is it a special program for creating "3D-human" or can you also create a tree for example?
Do you also use it for the combat icons?

Poser was originally designed for human figures, however, it now has many different types of 3D models, including trees, furniture, etc.

I use Poser for some of my icons, and in various ways. For some, I do a very small render that I touch up and turn directly into an icon. For others, I use it to reference poses.
