How do I add a monster encounter?

I see how I can add shops and events, but not simple monster encounter.

Add an event - "question button", "encounter", "combat" or even just "text statement" event, depending on how you want the encounter to play. Unfortunately combat doesn't work all that brilliantly just yet (ie spells aren't implemented and ai isn't perfect).

I want to make the combat AI be scriptable in a manner similar to the Baldur's Gate AI scripting for party characters. BG based their scripting on LUA, as does DC.

It's another one of the many features on the ToDo list. Any programmers out there with C/C++ knowledge, Visual C++ 6, and about six months of free time?

So magic does work, but there isn´t just spells and battle AI is
just stupid? If i make battle will the enemies attack or is there
any ´feature´ that i should be aware of if i´m going to make battles.
What if i put partys NPC in to attacking monsters. Will the NPC
attack party with equpment given by player? Does battle AI use
spells?

Combat AI is stupidly aggresive. The AI will ready the best armor and weapon, then find the nearest monster and attack it. The monsters do the same thing. This behavior applies to all classes.
