Just wanted to let you all know, I've released 10 NEW Screenshots of the Artwork I am working on. One of the shots shows the NEW Overland map I'm working on, and a few monsters as well.

Here's the link:

The new screen shots look great and I can't wait to download the redone and original art from ART Vault. I have a question about overland maps however. I have the FR Atlas and the CC2 program from ProFantasy to alter and produce new maps. The final map can be saved as a BMP file which I believe can be changed (using a PAINT program) to JPEG or GIF file for DC. Is this true? Has anyone ever actually done it?

I have the almost the entire North (Sword Coast) already mapped out and using these maps for DC would be a big plus. I also have done extensive work in redoing my set of Greyhawk maps and it would be great to be able to use those also. I already have two Mods for Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk already to go in DC as soon as (1) more art is available (I am a writer not an artist, alas) and (2) We progress further toward this program going GOLD.

The overland maps, and any other art type, can be saved as BMP, TGA, PCX, PNG, or JPG. The GIF format isn't supported.

We do a pretty decent job of maintaining backward compatibility with previous releases. So any design you create now should always be usable with future releases. I'm not sure if we will ever reach a state where we consider DC finished. Many people keep us busy with feature requests. Still, once spells are completed I would say that the core of DC is Gold. Magic is the last missing core feature (compared to UA). As things are now, major code changes keep happening to accomodate spell coding.

I agree that once the magic is finalized the program is Gold. It is interesting and refreshing to hear someone announce that they may never be "actually finished" because they want to keep adding new features and continually improve a particular program. I am behind your efforts 100%.
