Rented it this weekend. Was surprisingly good. It's one of those movies where you can't really casually watch it (i.e. chatting with someone or doing something else). You really need to give it your full attention to get it all. Love how the movie ended LOL.
Anyway, if you haven't seen it and are looking for something to rent, it's a good one and suprisingly worth the rental fee. Violent movie though, so keep that in mind. I mean, the entire movie is violence, on violence, with a blood spattering of some violence LOL. Not gory though really, they don't zoom in and focus in on the gross-out like some movies. It also has a pretty quirky, unpredictable story to it. All in all again, worth the rental. |

I guess I'm the odd man out considering all the awards it's gotten... I watched it Friday night and thought it was one of the worst movies I've seen in years. I kept watching hoping it would get better... figuring it MUST get better, but it never did.
Entirely predictable, trite almost comical plot, over the top melodramatic acting that actually had us laughing out loud during several "deep emotional" scenes. 2 of the 5 folks watching fell asleep, the other 3 of us started heckling about halfway through to at least get some entertainment value out of it. In short... stink... stank... stunk! |
