I finally got to see this restored 1931 German classic movie just the other day. Peter Lorre was absolutely brillant, especially in the closing scene where he is put on trial by a mob. Lang's use of camera angels was at times riveting. My question is for those of you who have seen the movie, the ending scene where a court of law convenes, well it still doesn't make clear what Lorre's fate winds up being. Or perhaps I missed something. If anyone definitively knows I'd be much abliged.
