What the title says. I'd give it a four or maybe a six out of ten. I got annoyed at the film. A *lot*. There was a lot of pointlessness to it; and they screwed up on many "traditional" vampire traits; like no reflection. Some of the fights scenes were waaaaay too long; and others they didn't spend enough time on. Several things they didn't really explain too well; and all in all, the movie felt somewhat shallow. Too many questions of "why" at the end, and "how the hell did they manage that when" etc. They also left it open for a sequal which was good, I suppose. It was an ok film; but most unoriginal; add to the fact it felt like the film was a total rip off. Oh, and was left waiting for the climax. Or thats how it felt to me at least. Too much hype. Will probably get it on DVD though.

Personally, as a regular joe that went to see it, I thought it was great. I know every vampire story written hasn't necessarily followed the same traits as the predecessors, and I know that I had fun watching it.

I enjoyed the whole show, and felt the fight scenes were great. As for not explaining things too well, I didn't feel confused or have questions about what was going on, I thought it flowed quite well.

I thought it got just the right amount of hype(that I was fed) because I wasn't dissappointed in it(unlike lotr:ttt... but I digress.)

Personally, I would give it an 8.5 / 10.

I really liked it. The story was interesting, the fights were entertaining, the main character was sexy.

I didn't have any problems understanding anything, but I'm familiar with White Wolf's worlf, and this movie is based a lot on it.

As an actionmovie, I would rate it 9/10.

Don't take your child to this movie if you wouldn't let him watch blade.

I want to know what happened to "Craven"/"Kraven" or however they spelt his name. He kinda ran off before the last few scenes.

Question Mark

I'm going to skip this one. *yawn* Gothic Anti-heroes are getting really old by now. Can't someone come up with a new idea? This movie is just a nod to the Goth sub-culture and is a Blade/Matrix rip-off.

I believe Kraven will be there when Marcus is fully awakened and has to deal with the crossing of the bloodlines, and Selene's judgement(if there is to be one). Since he ran off as Viktor was coming through, and had given Selene the truth about her family, he may be an interesting character to watch, since she might actually be able to trust him now.

I'm not sure you can call something a rip-off when it's better than the inspiration. This movie is a lot better than Blade. It actually has an interesting story and good special effects.

Loved Blade 1(sorta new concept at the time, and I own the DVD).

Thought Blade 2 was okay (Pretty much knew where it was goin and thought it took too long getting there. I do own the DVD and liked it better on DVD).

As to the Matrix, it's apples to oranges to me. The only thing they really had in common was that everyone favored black leather, and liked to fight.

I agree that Underworld has a better story than Blade 1 and 2. It kept me interested all the way to the end (I was ready to go by the end of Blade 2). I knew there was goin to be a big fight at Underworld's end (always is), but was happy as to who did the fighting. There could have been various outcomes to actually who was going to participate in the final battle.

Also there is no real anti-hero or hero in the movie, most are fighting for personal reason (there is no one out to save the world, actually, and you dont really find out the scope of things toward the end anyways). I was really interested in where everything was going.

Funny thing here is, I dont really care to see a sequel to this movie. Now a prequel would kick some serious a$$. Most of the plot is derived from the past, and what you see in Underworld is really the decline of both the Lycans and Vampires. You get to see glimpses of how it used to be and I think that would really be worth seeing. Going back to the glory days of Viktor, Marcus, and the female elder(sorry forgot her name) would be worth the journey for sure.

As a side note, hehe. I was wondering why Kraaven didnt make a move on Viktor while he was recovering from his awakening. By the end of the movie you really know why. You fully understand why Viktor is called lord (I orignally though he was going to be like the overlord from Blade 2). Boy was I surprised, hehe. Vikor was a bad man!

Spoilers>>>>>>>>>>>>

I was watching the last part, seeing our girl grab the sword and jumped up so fast, I could not see what had happened, then she landed apart from him and Vicktor pulls those two baldes from his arms and I am thinking,,,this is gonna be one helluva fight! But then, everybody was just standing there, waiting for something to happen, and I thought...he can't fight her...then...she has blood on the blade?...then...oh hell! That was freaking cool! (You know what I am talking about).

I liked it better than Blade or Blade 2. The story had me guessing and I really enjoyed the turn-around to who you guessed to be good. I did not see it coming "until" the part where she told the guy..."We are not allowed to search the past." That told me that something was shady, but I did not know what.

I would like to see the director's cut. I bet it has more detail.

Also, notice that we didn't see any female werewolves?
