~He would take full liberties with the original story by adding and taking away whatever characters, scenes, plotlines etc he fancied.

~In particular, he would place one or two characters in the film so irritatingly stupid that Jar Jar Binks would appear lovable by comparison.

~He would seriously try to squash the entire trilogy into the space of at most 3 hours -- or probably just 2 hours and 30 minutes.

~The story would consequently proceed so quickly, all it would take is just a blink and you'd miss out so much you wouldn't be able to follow anything anymore.

~You also wouldn't be able to enjoy any scenery in the film for more than 10 seconds.

~The characters in the film would be so shallow and superficial, you'd sooner expect pigs to fly than expect to be moved to tears by those characters.

The only Tsui Hark movie I've seen was Blade (no not the vampire hunter). It was pretty good, although I was pretty young then so I wasn't that much of an expert. Anyway, if Tsui Hark directed LoTR then we would probably have scenes upon scenes of our heroes fighting goblins wuxia style *shudder*.

Merely to make an observation of Tsui Hark's extremely typical ways of directing films.

LOL, Rimjaw! Fancy having Oriental elements in LoTR! (Though it also would have been great had Tolkien actually incorporated such things into his trilogy! )

I've watched a few films by Tsui Hark, including his Zu Warriors of the Magic Mountain, Swordsman II, A Chinese Ghost Story, and Legend of Zu. They all followed the typical patterns I enumerated above. A leopard never changes its spots.

You might still be curious as to just who he is, though. Click here to find out.

Well, i kinda enjoyed doubleteam, not because of V. Damme, i couldn't care less for him, but because of Dennis Rodman. That guy is really something else. I've read his biography, he's nuts If you like basketball and Dennis Rodman, i recommend that book, it's called "bad as i wanna be".
