Awesome movie.

Tom Hanks was simply brilliant! The plot was good, not overdone, funny, exciting, and touching. But the Oscar for Best Actor should go to Wilson. I'm sorry, I'm having trouble getting over that.

Go see it.

It was a really good movie.
Hanks has come a long way since "Bosom Buddies" and "Splash" hasn't he?

Well, Splash wasn't all that bad, but Bosom Buddies was a TV series...Hanks first roles in television if I remember correctly. He and some other guy whose name fails me dressed in drag in order to keep a room in an all-girl dorm for way too many seasons LOL.

I caught the tail end of the movie on HBO recently. I don't understand the ending... where he delivered his package to this farm out in the middle of nowhere. After that he stops by a cross roads and meets this babe in a pick up. Then the movie ends.

Could someone kindly explain?

The babe was the lady who owned the one package he had saved (without opening and making use of the contents) the whole time he was stranded and then he delivered it when he got back.
He was at a crossroads, both figuratively and literally. He could have followed her home or gone in a new direction. The conclusion is up to you...unless they make a sequel lol.

Moni explained it well, but you'll only *really* get it if you watch the whole thing.

Yeah, it was a touching movie. I hope he go for the babe. She is really HOT, plus the fact that she is friendly towards a stranger (help Hank out with the directions)...not many gals I know are like that.

I think that the woman was Lari White, a Country singer, but I cannot find any web pages that list all the cast members to confirm this and the original Fox Movie web site is down/gone...
