For readers of the Wheel of Time series, who's your favourite character and why. You may think that Aviendha would be my favourite and she is definitely one of them, but I think Mat is a really great character. It probably helps that everytime the book is focusing on Mat, you know something is going to happen, especially when those dice start rolling!

Anyway, who yours?

Aviendha.

I totally agree with you Aviendha. That was why, I was irritated, when he didn't appear in volume 8.

We are going to see alot of the same three letters.

My favorite is (of course) Matrim Cauthorn. Or just Mat. IMHO he is the coolest best person in the saga of the Wheel of Time. A gambler, womenizer,(sp) and all-around nice guy, Mat rules all. With a great military mind, from the memories of others from the past he commands the Band of the Red Hand and is one of the best fighters in the land, with his raven... spearish... thingy.

I remeber the line "Where is my luck now!?" Best. It happened right while that piece of roof landed on him causing him to be captured, right after the dice in his mind rolled around for all morning.

His whole personality and ability to always get himself into trouble is the best. Plus he is the one character I can directly relate to.

The only thats even remotely wrong with him is that he dosn't want the destiny that he has been given. If I was him I'd be loving every minute of it!

Time to roll the dice.

Mat definetly is one of my favorites. All of the mishaps he and his band of rogues get into is so humorous...

The last book, Winters Heart, focused alot on him, and I found myself laughing with the descriptions of some of the clothes he had to wear...

To me, he is one of the most well rounded characters in the series so far, and I was so glad to see Jordan finally center a book around his exploits and character...

I can see big things from him in the future novels...

I definately liked Mat but a couple of my favorite other characters were Min, though I don't think Jordan develops her enough (I'm only on book 5) and Nyneave.

And I like Uno.

Lioness, without giving anything away, you will find out much more about Min in later books. She is a great character!

I liked the second Myrdraal to ever appear in the books.. I liked his wit and charms very much..

Nah, I think that Thom was a fun character in the start but he became booring after awhile. Mat is a fun character, but right now I like the wolfbrother that helps Perrin! (bbok 9 espacially when he suprises the Aiel)

Another Mat supporter here. I also really like Aviendha and Thom.

Somehow thats unsurprising (Min). Dont know why. I think I'm psychic. Min's really just a bed-filler from the looks of it.

Favourite character? Love Rand. One of the best-designed characters I've ever read about. Plus he's got more women than he has hands Matrim is way up there as well, and I dont think anyone actually likes Perrin. I'm going to have to reread all the books before the next book comes out..
