Is it just me or does this movie totally rock? Combining comedy and horro, just works for this movie, and Bruce Campbell is the perfect actor to play Ash. As far as all the other movies in the genre, they can "HAIL TO THE KING, BABY!"
What do you folks think?

Ive also seen the others in that series (Evil Dead series if I remember correctly), and have to say Army was the best of all of them. Ash's character is just hilarious when compared to the "primitives" (what he calls the other people) he is dealing with.

Another comedy/horror series to look at is the House series (House 1, 2, 3).

Just my 2.

Army of Darkness was awesome Have it on DVD
It is the culmination of the Evil Dead series, Whats his name..the actor who plays Ash..Bruce Campbell and the director Sam Raimy (spelled wrong Im sure) started out trying to learn their trades, and you can notice a definite quality improvement in each succeeding film. If you are a fan I definatly recommend the DVD as it has interviews with Campbell and Raimy and it is really interesting.

well ash gets sent back in time by some evil force, and he has to recover this book the necronomicon in order to get back to his own time. in the process he raises an army of the dead that will stop at nothing to get the book back. that pretty much sums it up with out revealing too much. bruce campbell is awesome in it, and the movie is really more of a comedy than a horror movie all in all its pretty "groovy"

'Yo she-bitch!' I always remember that scene in the pit, and the boomstick speech, that's classic!
